This medication is used for treating schizophrenia and psychotic symptoms such as hallucinations, abnormal behavior, and delusions etc.

Adverse Effects:

The patients administered with this medicine may experience leucopenia (decreased white blood cell count), hypotension (low blood pressure), hyperprolactinemia (increased prolactin levels), dystonia (involuntary muscular contractions), heart rate changes, heart function changes, depression, photosensitivity (increased sun sensitivity), hyperglycemia (increased glucose levels), male sexual dysfunction, and vision changes.

Don’t Use:

The patients with pheochromocytoma (adrenal gland tumor), renal (kidney) or hepatic (liver) failure and heart impairment, severe depression, blood disorders, and undergoing comatose state (coma) should avoid use of this medicine.
