Indications:

Oral skeletal muscle relaxant; derivative of the inhibitory neurotransmitter GABA; used to treat spasticity in patients with MS and other spinal cord lesions; also improves bowel and bladder function in some of these patients.

Adverse Effects:

Sedation drowsiness nausea urinary frequency enuresis dysuria.

Don’t Use:

Precautions: Epilepsy psychotic or convulsional states cerebrovascular accident sphincter hypertonia history of peptic ulcer respiratory hepatic or renal
impairment. Elderly. Withdraw drug gradually over at least 1-2 weeks. Perform tests in liver disease or diabetes.
